Two of my paintings (pictured below) were selected for the “Contemporary Masters, Artistic Eden” exhibition which was held at the Pasadena Museum of History, August 11th through August 26th.

::CONTEMPORARY MASTERS, ARTISTIC EDEN::
“Contemporary Masters, Artistic Eden” was the brainchild of a consortium of fine art galleries in the San Gabriel Valley: Galerie Gabrie, Michael Hollis Fine Art, San Marino Gallery, Segil Fine Art, and Tirage Gallery to bring attention to the area as a fine art destination. The initial list of invited artists was culled from among the country’s most honored fine art painters, with the final selection juried by museum officials, independent fine art
professionals, and the gallery sponsors.
Below are a few pix of the festive and successful opening reception. Enjoy!

jennifer the last two are smashing pieces, bit sharper and bigger than usual, are they studio works?
and that red car,is as good as any car i've seen painted and that is a lot!!
i think you should party a bit less and show us a step by step demo soon...please...(-;
Gorgeous paintings, Jennifer. I really love your work.
Now I can see why you have been slacking on posting new stuff for me to drool on. I have an opening tommorrow night and they are alot of work. You communicate so effectively in your work. I have a million questions for you on how you paint, but I guess I will just have to wait for you to start giving workshops. :-( Always a treat to see new stuff from you.
All the parts come togeather perfectly to make a beautiful whole in "Ferriers Demonstration". Love the reflected light and shadow on white in "Pasadena Historical Museum". Both paintings worthy of being considered contemporary masterpieces. Congratulations again Jennifer!
Thanks Rob,
Yes, the two paintings are in fact studio works.
I will post a step by step demo soon and as far as partying less ~ not an option my friend ;-)
Bottoms up!
Thank you Bill!
Thanks Les,
I hope your opening was a terrific success! Congrats by the way!
I am in fact going to start teaching workshops in the fall. I'm a little nervous, however, I think the experience will be valuable and enriching.
Thank you Robin,
I appreciate your generous and flattering comments!
Hi Jennifer,
earlier this summer I was visiting Ojai and saw some of your paintings in a gallery there. I've forgotten the name of the gallery, but the owner was strumming his guitar and singing a song! Your work is truly exceptional.
If you are teaching a workshop soon and you're close enough to where I live, I would love to be in it.
Hi Silvina,
Thanks for dropping by! By the way, the name of the gallery in Ojai is 'Trowbridge Gallery'.
I had no idea Jeff was musically inclined. Now if only he could provide live music on a regular basis in the gallery ~ would be nice ;-)
Jeff seems to be multi-talented. Entrepreneur, Painter and Musician.
..and an awesome dad as well!
Kudos to you Jeff! We need more like you around :)
Jennifer
These two pieces are STUNNING! The bench in the house piece just nails it. Great, great, great!
the light is astounding. I really enjoyed looking at the photos of your opening. Your work is delectable!

Hi Mary,
Glad you enjoyed the photos of the opening.
I would LOVE to do a workshop in Cape Cod! That would be a great reason to get out there more frequently (and of course, visiting family and friends) ;-)
Thanks Mike!
I will keep you posted as to when and where.
Cheers!
Thank you Daniel!
Jennifer, the Ferrier's Demonstration is AMAZING!! verrrrry nice.. great rendering of the horse! No surprise you are included in a contemporary master's showing. Both beautifully done, I can't believe they are studio pieces actually.. the light looks so real.
keep it up, Mike!
Jennifer..congratulations ! Mighty impressive...great "stuff". Wish I could have responded sooner..just getting back on line..
..take care. :-)
Thanks Michael! :)
Thank you Frank and welcome back!
How can we make that Cape Cod workshop happen?
I second the motion on the red car. It drew my eye immediately and then across the painting. Your edges are brilliant!
Pasadena museum is lovely. It has wonderful light. Love it!
