Another Little Slice of New York Life...
Greetings fine art aficionados, it's been a long time coming, but here's a taste of one of my latest fruit stand series. This was inspired by my trip to Manhattan's Chinatown, where the fragrant smells and vibrant colors cried out to be captured on canvas. I also liked the patterns in the Chinese grill fence behind this unassuming, neon-orange clad, fruit-feeling fellow. Enjoy!

Jennifer, this a beautiful new direction by the looks of it. It has a markedly different feel than previous pieces I've seen of yours. I love the metal chinese pattern in the bg fence, and I like the way you've dealt with the figures foot... nice indeed. Can't wait for more!

Congrats on the OPA award!.....I was able to make it to the show and saw the piece in person, beautiful work.
There were lots of beautiful paintings there, but the few paintings that did receive awards had a little something extra, a spark, or energy to them.

The figure is standing in front of a metal panel on the wrought iron door that has been weathered and worn.
Actually, it does resemble a painting! (hmmmmmmm, subconscious on my part perhaps? ;)
