Great demo, Jennifer. Demo's are like circus acts, your success or failure is a public spectacle.
Hey Jennifer, how have you been? We haven't crossed paths in a bit. Hope painting is going well. I have my own blog over at http://www.ericmerrell.wordpress.com. Cheers, Eric.
Jennifer, I so love this.
The rich blue violets pull the eye into picture and work with the complimentary warm tones in the sunlight. Your loose brushwork and sparkling color just rock.
By the way, do I remember that you live in a fire prone area? I wish all Californians the best with that.
Thanks Ed,
You got that right!
At times I feel like a circus bear when conducting a demo. On a unicycle.
Juggling chainsaws. On a tightrope.
And drunk.
Hi Eric,
Great to hear from you!
I'll head right over and check out your blog.
Cheers!
J
Hi Mary,
Thank you so much for commenting. It's always a pleasure to hear from you!
Fortunately, we were out of harm's way regarding the recent Cali fires. Although, last May 2007, we had to be evacuated. This time, only dealt with a bit of campfirey smells and hazy skies. Thank you for your concern.
NUTS! I was supposed to attend that workshop but could not make it. Now I see a sample of what I missed. I hope you will have a workshop nearer home sometime in the future.
A lovely painting.
i'm sure you're going to have a blast at the paint out.
wonderful expresive demo jennifer,it is alive!!
Slammin' colors and values down! Top notch design makes it all happen. You take no prisoners...
VERY NICE NICE NICE!...CONGRATULATIONS!..VERY NICE!
Congratulations on your award, your shows, and your workshop! You're always a favorite of mine, and that demo is one of the reasons why. Your paintings have no fluff, they are just what's needed and no more, beautiful color harmony, amazing compositions, thanks,
Kelley
Marvelous work as always...your style and values are so very strong! Continued success in all you do!
Congratulations on the award. "Making Our Way Across" is a great painting.
I really like the demo though. Great mix of brush and palette knife.
I agree with Ed. A demo is a risky thing. Looks like everyone must have been thinking you were the best after this one.
Bill,
So sorry you couldn't make it to the workshop:(
I will be returning to Santa Fe next fall to teach another workshop....so maybe I'll see you then?
Take care and thanks for the kudos!
Thanks Rob!

Very nice! I love your brushwork and color.
Beautiful piece Jennifer. Need to tell you that I have been tagged and have tagged you in return. You probably know how this works, I didn't know about it at all.
